We had been putting off a kitchen renovation for a while, partly because we were't sure exactly what we wanted and partly because of the horror stories about contractors starting and abandoning work or wildly underestimating what the work would end up costing. Well, we found Eight6 Custom Renovations at a Home Show in Burlington, and from the first contact we were at ease with both the team and their methods. Everything from pre-planning to permitting, design, construction and post-construction were so well managed. The planning process was respectful and unrushed. The final estimate we got was within 1% of our final invoice total. Change requests - no problem. Opportunities to save were identified. Trades brought in were of stellar quality (and personality) and Alex & Patrick's oversight of the work of the trades was just great. We are delighted with our new kitchen and how Alex & Patrick and the team they assembled treated us from first contact through project close. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

We recently had our upper floor completely remodeled by 86 Renovations and we are thrilled with the results! The project took about 8 weeks, which was pretty much on schedule (only delay being their high standard of quality ensuring hard wood floors installed correctly by their trade partner, which we appreciated).
The communication was great throughout; we were regularly updated on the progress and any small issues that came up to which Alex and Patrick always provided great solutions. Very creative!
The team of Alex, Patrick and their coop students were professional, respectful, and cleaned up daily. I also cant say enough about their trade partners (Trevor-Electrician, Mike-Plumber, Marco-Painter). One thing we really appreciated was their attention to detail. The materials used were high-end, and you can tell that the work is built to last.
A nice touch in having professional cleaners come at the end of the project for a truly finished product!
Overall, we are beyond happy with the transformation, and I’ve already recommended 86 Renos to a few friends who are thinking of remodeling. We look forward to having them return for our basement renovation. Definitely a 5.5 star rating out of 5!

We have waited a long time to renovate two bathrooms in our home. After seeing the work by Eighty6 at our son’s home, we hired them right away. They listened to all of our requests and ideas, they offered excellent advice and a variety of options to fit our budget. We did an upscale master bathroom and a more budget friendly guest bathroom. Both have exceeded our expectations. They were clean and respectful of our home and time. My husband is particular, and very involved in projects. They were sure to always show patience and understanding, involving him through the whole process. Along the way there were a couple bumps in the road, as can happen with ANY project, but my favorite part of these contractors is that they took our feedback and made it right or to our desire without any issue or delay. My husband and I both recommend Eighty6 and we will have them back in the future!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Patrick and Alex on a full basement renovation. From the first time we met they were great to deal with and gave us plenty of confidence that they'd do a phenomenal job. We were referred to Eighty6 through their previous clients on a Facebook group(always a good sign). From the initial estimate we had a good feeling about them, and now having completed the job we can honestly say the experience was even better than anticipated.
They finished our basement in Ancaster, including a full separate unit, and we’re loving the end result. But most of all we really valued all the consulting, communicating, and educating that came along with the turn-key general contracting they provided. So many times during the job we were so grateful to have chosen them because of how reasonable, trustworthy, flexible and accessible they were. With such a big job there’s a lot of back and forth, and they really were true partners with us from start to finish. They treated the space and everyone at home with respect, and they were a lot of fun. They balanced extensive expertise with great service, something that’s hard to find.
They worked with our preferences, and didn’t shy away from special custom pieces like our custom climbing wall.

Working with Eighty6 Custom renovations was one of the best decisions we ever made. We initially started with a complete basement renovation including bathroom, kitchen and laundry. Everything was done to our expectations and within our budget. Alex and Patrick had great ideas and input, which is helpful since renovation certainly is not our area of expertise.
We loved the results of our first reno so much that we had ‘the guys’ back for a second major renovation which turned out even more beautiful. They take the time to checkin with you along the way, make adjustments to best match your budget and are always open and honest.
I had many reservations when looking for a construction company, there are a lot of ‘bad apples’ in the world of renovations. But I’m happy to report that I have no regrets. I recommend Eighty6 to all of my friends and family members and just booked a consult for a THIRD major renovation with them.
